Menu Bar

The Rapid Inspector menu bar has four menus. The menu bar is shown below containing the File, Edit, View and Help menus.

 

File

  1. The File menu allows the user to Open graphics as an option to using Drag and Drop. Choose File->Open to select a supported file type on a local hard drive or remote network.
  2. Choose Save Report As... to export all current inspection detail to a formatted HTML file.
  3. The File menu allows users to Reset the RI window. By selecting File->Reset Session the user can start over.
  4. From the File menu the user also has the option to Exit (on Windows) Rapid Inspector. Choose File->Exit to quit the application. On Mac OS X the user must use the Rapid Inspector->Quit menu command to quit the application.

Edit

The Edit menu allows users to assign/change the Manuscript Number (for Editorial Art only - not advertising). Assigning a Manuscript Number will associate all future inspections with the assigned Manuscript Number until the number is changed. This is useful if you are inspecting several files of which are associated with different articles/manuscripts.

View

The View menu allows the user to generate a report in HTML format and print or save the report as they choose.

Choosing View->Report will generate a report and display it in the default web browser. The user can then print the report or save it to a local drive.

Help

The Help menu allows the user to access the Rapid Inspector Online Help System. Choose Help->Manual to launch the default web browser and display the home page for the help system. The Help menu also has direct links to the FAQ and Technical Support pages within the Rapid Inspector Online Help System.
